How To Tell People They Sound Racist

I need to take this to heart. I have a very old friend who I am going to need to part ways with because she is a racist and I find what she says horribly offensive.  She is one of my oldest friends but I just can’t abide by the poisonous filth that spews from her mouth anymore.

Bloody hell! Really? Yes, there's no easy way to do this but it has to be done. Good luck!

Yeah, unfortunately. I've dealt with stereotypes and prejudice before, I've encountered hatred and disdain in SA and Up North but I can't abide by her words any more. She really is offensive. I don't know if it is getting worse or if she was just on better behaviour when we were getting to know each other again.

Sometimes I really wonder what exactly plants such thoughts into some minds...sighs...

Yes, you have to be just honest and straightforward. Sometimes we have to shed people who are full of hatred.

@ Usha: They say it starts with fear and the unwillingness to see the differences between people, so we stereotype and generalise.

@ Joanne: I totally agree!
